About

WizardWars.online 1.0.0 is officially out. This is by far the biggest patch I've ever launched, so buckle up!

This patch includes new game modes mode, music, sound effects, graphical improvements, a low-graphics mode for low end devices, balance changes, lag correction code, kill streak announcements, and an informative tutorial.

Additionally, I'm pleased to announce that WizardWars.online is launching exclusively on CrazyGames.com. CrazyGames receives 50 million monthly users, making it an absolutely MASSIVE portal for web games.

Let's hope to see some new faces joining the community in the coming weeks. Now let's dive into the new content you can enjoy in Wizard Wars 1.0.0.

Music and Sound Effects

WizardWars.online now features a full sound track! The menu a unique wizard wars theme, and each map unique backing tracks! Each spellbook features unique.

Game Modes

Bored of playing team death match over and over? WizardWars now offers a wide variety of game modes! Buckle up and prepare to play a huge variety of modes!

Hoard the crown

Engage in a fierce battle for the crown where players strive to dethrone the current king. Whichever play kills the current king becomes the new king. Whoever is king earns points for each second they hold the crown.

Good luck staying king!

Slime Hunt

Join forces with your team to hunt down rampant slimes and claim victory in this thrilling teamwork oriented mode.

Taking down small slimes give you 2 points, but taking down the mega slime nets your team 10 points! All players are told where the mega slime is, so when the mega slime spawns it's sure to be chaotic!

Free for All

Free for all is an all out brawl! No team mates, no problems.

Experience the ultimate chaotic showdown in an all-out free-for-all where every wizard fights for themselves.

In free for all, you score 2 points by killing an enemy, 1 point by scoring an assist, and lose 2 points for dying. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

I hope you enjoy it!

Graphical Improvements

Previously bullets only rendered in the color of the team that shot them. This made them extremely hard to see in most situations.

I've revamped the bullet sprites to be easier to see. Even in the worst case (yellow bullets) on a yellow background you can now see the bullets:

Beautiful!

Balance Changes

Balance changes have been implemented to fine-tune the gameplay mechanics, providing a fair and engaging experience for wizards of all skill levels.

Snowmen kick it up a notch!

Before the snowmen's snowballs were hitting like a truck, but only being thrown extremely rarely. This felt a bit annoying to play against, as the damage came in huge spikes.

Now snowmen unleash a flurry of weaker snowballs! Enjoy!

Zombies attack tuning

Zombies were previously chasing players inside of their character. This sometimes made it almost impossible to hit them with your bullets. Now they will not chase players into the interior of their radius.

This change made the zombies feel substantially weaker, so their damage has been increased by about 20% to compensate.

No more mega shield pixies

Pixies were giving each other absurdly large shields, making them absurdly bulky for how tiny they are. While they can no longer receive shields from one another, their health, rate of fire, and ability to buff players have all been improved to compensate.

Book of Storm can't stop won't stop

Previously the Book of Storm's thunderblast spell would inflict a crippling debuff on the caster after using it - no matter the outcome! It felt very unrewarding to teleport into the enemy team, score a takedown, and then still be debuffed to be easily picked off.

No more! If you score a takedown with the Book of Storm's thunderblast spell, you will no longer receive a debuff. This allows you to more easily chain takedowns together by using the Book of Storm's cooldown reset mechanic.

Other new features!

Here are the other various features that were introduced this patch:

Kill streak announcements

Speaking of getting multiple kills in a short time, there are now announcements for double kills, triple kills, and so forth! You'll see these if you manage to take down multiple foes within 2 seconds of each other!

Less Annoying, More Informative Tutorial

Instructions now automatically hide when you complete their objective. Additionally, they have a "close" button to allow you to close them on your own schedule.

The instructions have also been polished quite a bit.

Better Lag Correction

Lag correction code has been optimized to minimize latency and enhance the overall responsiveness of the game, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable multiplayer experience.

The lag correction code is now substantially better. I've been playing the game on North American servers all the way from Ecuador without issues!

European Server

European servers have been added to provide a more localized and responsive gaming experience for players in Europe.
