0.0.2: Post game screen, mobile chat, and bug fixes

Patch 0.0.2 is now live! This patch focuses on improving players abilities to connect during and after matches. These changes include a fresh new post-game screen, mobile chat, and the ability to chat between rounds! Additionally, I fixed various issues that would cause the game to occasionally crash.

Post Game Screen

Patch 0.0.2 brings a fresh new take on the post-game screen. From the new post-game screen you can see how individual players scored on both teams. This should help give you some feedback on how you performed in the previous round!

In addition to showing everyone's scores, the new interlude page includes a chat feature so that you can engage in (friendly) smack talk.

Mobile Chat

This patch also included some updates to the chat system. Many players wanted to keep in touch with other players between rounds, or chat on their mobile devices.

I added both of these features in this patch! Enjoy talking smack to your opponents in lobbies, and sending messages from your mobile device in game!

Bug Fixes

Finally, 0.0.2 includes several bug fixes, primarily targeted at game stability:

  • The game will no longer crash your browser when you leave it open in a hidden tab
  • Servers no longer crash when a player leaves just as they are being hit
  • Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the game to crash after the interlude

Thanks to all of you who played the night of the patch 0.0.1 launch! I had a blast staying up late playing with all of you. It was a really cool experience to have a game lobby at capacity for hours on end! I've heard all of your feedback and am attempting to incorporate it into the game as quickly as I can.

Thanks again to all of the early community members for your feedback and continued loyalty to the game. I feel very lucky to have attracted such a nice community to the game.
